A Step aside from pinhole photography, GreyGreyFuzzyFace was an exploration into infrared film. The intent ‘Man, I wonder what Jökulsárlón would look like shot in infrared, that would be nuts’. The results.. well, yeah.. yeah. Saying that, I’ve really come to like these photographs. The sheer scale of photographic noise that congregates to create the faintest of images, highlighting fundamental photographic mechanics.

 

I still haven’t been back to Jökulsárlón to shoot another roll of infrared film. I do break apart little point and click digital cameras to convert them to shoot in infrared, but that’s more of just a fun past time.
